Day 4 (p.m.)

The education tour to the different sites such as the museum was an eye opener for many.  The pupils learnt about agent orange and the horrible effects of war in the museum. We also visited the palace, the post office and had a glimpse of the cathedral.

Day 3 (p.m.)

Making sticky rice seemed so easy. But when we actually tried to do them ourselves, it was tough for some!

Day 3 (a.m.)

Yippee! We had a boat ride to an island with about 3000 villagers. We visited one of the families who sell honey as a living. Imagine having a sip of honey drink with bees flying around us!

We also took horse cart riding and visited a coconut sweets making factory (a humble one). Click below to watch the videos!

Reflection Time

Reflection time for the pupils (daily) to consolidate their learning!

Day 2 (p.m.)

Pupils had hands-on learning about the geography and agricultural at the vegetable farm and paddy field! Great learning for them!

Day 2 (a.m.) @Cu Chi Tunnel

Pupils learnt how the Vietnamese people had cleverly built the network of narrow tunnels dug during the period of Vietnam war and experienced how it was like for the Vietnamese people.  An outdoor classroom for us!

Day 2

Getting ready to depart to Cu Chi!

Day 1 - 27 May 2015

Finally! We are back in the rooms!  It was a hot day today and everyone was reminded to drink the water regularly. 

Flash back-8,15 a.m.

All the pupils were so excited to board the plane to Vietnam. It was the first trip for some pupils and these are what we hope the pupils will learn from the trip:

International awareness

Cultural awareness

Sense of rootedness

Respect for diversity

Most importantly, we hope that our cedarians are able to put the 6 Cedar Values in action!

What's our itinerary for Day 1?
0950hrs: Depart Singapore for Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) – The Land of Peace & Quiet.

1055hrs: Arrival at Saigon Tan Son Nhat Airport.

1145hrs: After Immigration clearance, meet up our local representative.

1200hrs: Depart airport to downtown.

1230hrs: Lunch at KAMPUNG PANDAN Halal Restaurant.

1400hrs: After lunch, continue with Pottery Making Experience.

1630hrs: End tour, check-in hotel.

1800hrs: Depart hotel for Water Puppet Show.

1930hrs: Dinner at HALAL SAIGON Restaurant.

2030hrs: After dinner, back to hotel. Debrief session at hotel.
